Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1
Panasonic introduced the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 digital compact camera in Lisbon February this year. During the introduction, it soon became clear that it was an extremely compact Mega zoom digital camera, in fact, one of the world's smallest Mega zoom digital cameras with 10x optical zoom. As well as its compact size, the Panasonic Lumix TZ1 has 5 million effective pixels from a 6.37 Megapixel CCD image sensor. One of this electronic giant's major achievements is the application of the MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) throughout the entire range of Panasonic digital cameras.
Panasonic & Digital photography market
It is remarkable to see how manufacturers with no previous involvement in photography are becoming increasingly active on the digital camera market. Panasonic has really started to take the digital photography market seriously. This has resulted in a number of outstanding products, such as Panasonic's first digital reflex camera, the Panasonic Lumix L1. With the Panasonic TZ1 digital camera, Panasonic has come up with an attractive compact model with a 10x optical focal range (35-350 mm equivalent) and a lens made according to Leica specifications, the Leica DC Vario-Elmarit.
Panasonic DMC-TZ1 - Venus Engine III technology
As well as the handy optical image stabilizer, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 camera also has Venus Engine III technology. This technology ensures that the Panasonic TZ1 is quick enough and has resulted in a fast response time of 0.006 seconds. This means that the camera is fast enough to capture instantaneous photographs. The Venus Engine III technology also ensures that you can take photos in rapid succession without any restrictions. The saved pictures can then be seen on the large 2.5 inch LCD screen. This screen has a useful feature, the High Angle function which makes taking photos with the camera held above your head very simple.
Panasonic Lumix TZ1 - Mega O.I.S. stabilization system
As mentioned earlier, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 has the MEGA O.I.S stabilization system. This sort of image stabilizer is essential in a Mega zoom digital camera because the strong enlargement factor and light weight of the cameras make it practically impossible to make tele shots with it in your hand in situations where the sun does not provide sufficient light. The high sensitivity mode contributes by raising the ISO value to compensate for the movements of fast moving subjects. This powerful combination gives the most stable pictures and makes it much easier to use, allowing you to snap away in a much more carefree fashion.
