Samsung NX100 digital camera review - The new Samsung NX100 is a new comer in the popular segment of system cameras. This is a collective term for a group of cameras from different manufacturers but with a common denominator: the lack of a mirror. It is a so-called ‘mirror-less’ system, or as Samsung prefers, a compact system camera. The Samsung NX100 is a remarkably designed camera with relatively small dimensions and an average low weight. Although the true innovation is not found inside the camera, but rather in the lens. Samsung introduces the i-Fn lens with the Samsung NX100. The Samsung NX100 is available in different colors (varies per region). The body’s material feels a bit slippery, but due to the design it is fairly stable to handle.

The top of the NX100 is sloped so that the hand grip is a bit thicker. The settings dial on top of the camera turns a bit stiffly so that it cannot go into another mode by accident. The Samsung NX100 does not have a built-in flash, but supports an optional external flash (GN15) via the hot shoe. The fine AMOLED screen immediately distinguishes the Samsung NX100 from the competition. The screen produces a clear image and an exceptionally beautiful display. The buttons and the multi-control button next to the screen offer access to the menu and the camera’s different setting possibilities. In the bottom of the hand grip, the compartment for the Li-Ion battery and the memory card is found.

Samsung NX100 review
Our first acquaintance with the Samsung NX100 during a press event was already pleasant and we were immediately convinced. We were presented a new system camera with some distinguishing features in an already heavily competitive market. The Samsung NX100 is typically a camera with which you want to get going immediately, it makes you curious. The different, innovative, new control aspects of the camera have good results. At least if you are open to it, although the traditional control is still possible as well. Read the full Samsung camera review at LetsGoDigital.
