Panasonic Lumix cameras Awarded

Report Photokina 2010 - DIWA (Digital Imaging Websites Association), a world-wide organization of collaborating websites, honors the Panasonic DMC-G2, DMC-FX66, and DMC-TZ10 with a DIWA Gold Award. DIWA Awards are based on test results carried out in the DIWA Labs, and evaluations of more than 200 different camera details made by DIWA members. DIWA product test awards are exclusively decided through the analysis of multiple test scores from different DIWA testers, testing different samples of the same product. A very detailed and comprehensive standardized scoring procedure is employed, tailored carefully for each category of product.

Report Photokina 2010 - Nikon announces a new super telephoto zoom lens - the AF-S DX Nikkor 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR. With a focal length ranging from 55mm to 300mm (equivalent to 82.5mm to 450mm on DX format D-SLRs) it enables the user to really get up close and personal with distant subjects. The 5.5 times zoom ratio offers flexibility by drastically extending the telephoto reach. Nikon AF-S 24-120mm lens

Report Photokina 2010 - Nikon is pleased to announce the release of the AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, a brand new 5x zoom lens for FX format D-SLR photographers. The 24-120mm focal length continues to be a unique proposition in the Nikkor lens range and the new version features a fixed f/4 aperture throughout the zoom range. It incorporates Nano Crystal coat and Nikon’s second generation VRII system. Sony Alpha camera review - Photokina 2010 report - The new Sony A580 is equipped with a newly developed 16.2 Megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS censor, offers up to 7fps shooting, and Auto HDR - a feature which enables a photographer to capture shots that normally are only possible after post processing. Sony targets the A580 at photographers who wants to become better than the average compact shooter and search for new creative expressions, but are still looking for user-friendliness and easy-of-use. Another highlight is the integration of video into the series of Sony Alpha cameras. For a camcorder specialist it took them quite a while, but according to Sony there was enough reason to act in such.

Sony Alpha camera reviews - Photokina 2010 report - Although the Sony A560 is introduced in August, just before the IFA and Photokina, both held in Germany, we receive new info that the Sony A560 will be available in the first quarter of 2011. The Sony A560 is equipped with an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with 14.2 effective Megapixels. For Sony standards this is a basic resolution for DSLR cameras, but sufficient for post processing. Together with the latest iteration of Sony’s powerful BIONZ imaging processor, it supports high-speed continuous shooting plus a sophisticated range of digital image compositing and processing functions. This gives even greater artistic possibilities to beginners and photo enthusiasts alike.

Sony Alpha SLR review - Photokina 2010 report - The last couple of years as a camera manufacturer Sony developed itself remarkable. In the early days we could choose out of a series of Cybershot cameras and a handful of Alpha DSLR cameras, but today Sony offers a rather extensive range of camera packed with the latest innovative techniques. It was only recently that Sony introduced its own version of a system camera, the NEX and only a few months later we witness the introduction of a new type of Alpha camera, the Sony A33. The Sony A33 is an interesting interchangeable lens camera. First there is the Translucent Mirror technology offering new possibilities like continues live preview of action and video clips.
