Canon media storage device M80

Canon today launches the portable Canon Media Storage M80 device. Designed with EOS and other digital photographers in mind, the units feature a large ultra-bright 3.7-inch TFT screen with 160º viewing angle for image and video review, and a 80GB hard disk to store digital images, movie and sound files of various file formats. The Canon M80 unit features a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface and slots for CF and SD cards. With its tough, robust magnesium alloy body and intuitive navigation familiar to EOS owners, the Canon M80 media storage device adds an important link to the workflow chain of professional photojournalists and photographers on location, outdoor and expedition shoots.

Canon IXUS designers interview

Although Canon is celebrating their 10 year's IXUS concept as an exceptional milestone of product development Canon did not forget to mention the creators of this unique design; Yasushi Shiotani and Seiichi Omino. Yasushi Shiotani is the designer of the original Canon IXUS camera. In the twenty years since finishing his studies in Japan, he has worked exclusively for Canon. He completed his advanced studies in Italy, Milan. Seiichi Omino is the designer of the first Canon Digital IXUS model. He studied in Tokyo and during a career with Canon spanning eighteen years, has been responsible for the design of such blockbuster products as the Canon EOS 350D digital SLR camera.

Ten years of Canon Digital IXUS

Canon marked reaching another milestone by holding a lavish celebration in the company of hundreds of journalists and guests from the photo, fashion, design and lifestyle industries. Last Thursday, 14 September, guests were flown in from all over Europe to one of the several hotels reserved for the occasion. Canon Digital IXUS was celebrating its 10th birthday and Canon wanted to share this anniversary with everyone who directly or indirectly involved in the IXUS's success. The original IXUS Advanced Photo System (APS) camera immediately became a design classic when it was introduced in 1996. The Canon IXUS design still has record sales up to the present day.
