Nikon D90 test photos

Posted by: Dennis Hissink Monday 1st, September 2008

As far as we can see, the first test samples offer high image quality. High ISO can be used with excellent results, through which Nikon continues its success that started with the introduction of the Nikon D3 and D300, and the Nikon D700 soon after. The user-friendliness for the Nikon user is superb as always and everything looks very familiar. These test photos have been taken with a full production model, meaning that this model is equivalent to the model that will be available to the consumer in September. The location of the pictures is the Amsterdam Zoo, called Artis, in the Netherlands.

Nokia N96 review

Posted by: Dennis Hissink Wednesday 12th, November 2008

The Nokia N96 comes in a sleek package. A picture of the phone is displayed on the top side, and the internal memory of 16GB is mentioned. Upon opening the box, you will find the N96 placed in a picture. When opening the picture, you will find a surprisingly large amount of standard included accessories. The box contains a battery charger, car charger, battery, headset, USB cable, manuals, software and a cable to connect the N96 to a television set. This means you don't have to purchase any other accessory except for maybe a pouch. The cell phone itself looks neat too, although somewhat on the large side. The Nokia N96 is able to slide two ways. If you slide open to the top, the standard buttons will appear, if you slide open to the bottom, the monitor will rotate automatically and short-cuts for multimedia applications will appear.

Nikon Europe announces a new wide aperture fixed-focal length Nikkor lens, the 50-mm AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G. This lens has a fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 respectively for a bright viewfinder experience, beautiful background blur with shallow depth of field. It also incorporates Nikon’s ultra-compact Silent Wave Motor (SWM) ring-type for silent, fast and accurate focusing and enables autofocus in cameras without a built-in motor such as the Nikon D40 and Nikon D60. "This new fast prime lens redefines the standard lens concept," said Robert Cristina, Manager Professional Products and NPS at Nikon Europe. He added: "The fast apertures and silent AF deliver brilliant image quality with new creative options for Nikon digital photographers."
