FotoNation, one of the world’s leading embedded imaging and connectivity companies, announced today that it will demonstrate its new patented FotoNation Dust Removal Technology at Photokina 2006, held in Cologne, Germany from September 26 - October 1st, 2006. The FotoNation Dust Removal and detection Technology completely and automatically removes dust from digital images. FotoNation has been awarded a United States patent for this technology and has 10 additional patents pending in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. FotoNation eliminates dust from images using in-camera software which distinguishes between dust and real detail in the photo.

Pentax Imaging has launched a test drive A Pentax program to introduce consumers to the manufacturer's new K Series digital SLR camera line. From now until December 31, 2006, any customer who visits a participating dealer and test drives a Pentax K Series camera becomes eligible to win the Grand Prize 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. A Pentax test drive consists of visiting a participating retailer and asking for a hands-on demonstration of any Pentax K Series camera or viewing a product video online at the Pentax website. Apple launched the “Summer of Music” in Japan with free music from iTunes, Japan’s favorite online music store, collectible iTunes Cards and exclusive live performances at Apple Retail Stores. All summer long, iTunes is offering free music, music videos and collectible iTunes Cards featuring free downloads from the hottest artists in Japan, including Ken Ishii, Simon Le Bon, Hifana, and the world premiere of a brand new video from Beck. Music fans at Summer Sonic will receive collectible iTunes Cards with free music downloads on August 12 in Tokyo and on August 13 in Osaka.
