Kingston K-PEX personal media player

Kingston Technology, leader in memory products, today announced its new line of Personal Media Players (PMPs). With its highly stylized design and ultra-slim form factor, K-PEX (Kingston Personal Entertainment experience) allows users to watch videos, listen to music, play video games and store/view photographs. The Kingston K-PEX media player is currently available in the North America, Latin America and Asia/Pacific Rim. With the launch of K-PEX, Kingston is leveraging its 18-year leadership position in the memory module market to bring new Portable Media Player technologies to market. Kingston’s K-PEX personal player will be available with embedded memory capacities of 1 GB and 2 GB.

Kingston Ontrack data recovery software

Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it is upgrading its "Ultimate" line of CompactFlash memory cards by preloading the cards with Ontrack's EasyRecovery Professional software version 6.1. Kingston's Ultimate line of Compact Flash cards is targeted for professional and advanced amateur photographers. The Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional software provides data recovery capabilities for lost digital photos. In addition, Kingston will increase the sustained write speed on its 2/4-GB CompactFlash Ultimate cards from 100x to 133x and will add a new 8-GB capacity card with a write speed of 133x to the line.
