Kodak OLED Technology agreement

Eastman Kodak Company, a pioneer in the area of organic light emitting diode technology (OLED), today announced a licensing agreement with Tohoku Device Co., Ltd. Tohoku Device plans to incorporate Kodak's organic display technology into white OLED modules for use as backlights in displays. Tohoku Device joins more than 15 companies that have licensed organic display technology from Kodak. "This is a great agreement for Kodak. The agreement between Kodak and Tohoku Device validates the superiority of Kodak display technology for a variety of applications," said Andrew Sculley, general manager, OLED Systems and vice president, Kodak Display Business. "We are delighted that Tohoku Device has chosen Kodak as a major provider of this innovative technology."

The Kodak EasyShare G600 printer dock will have an estimate price of US $149.95; available beginning in August 2006.

Kodak i6000 scanner

Kodak Company a leader in document imaging and Silver Bullet Technology, a leader in Check 21 data and image tools, announced that Kodak is bundling Silver Bullet's Ranger API with its i6000 Check Scanners. Kodak i6000 Check Scanners convert paper checks into high-quality digital images. They are deployed in such consumer-facing environments as retail point of sale, bank teller lanes and in general back-office operations which are taking advantage of efficiencies gained from the federal Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act known as Check 21 that removed barriers to electronic check processing. Ranger allows clients to use virtually any item or check processing software with any check scanning hardware.
