Extensive automatic modes for flash, white balance and exposure guarantee optimum results in candid shooting and all normal situations. Whoever likes to experiment with different shutter speeds or lighting techniques will find ample room for individual fine adjustment: Flash On, Off or Red-eye reduction and white balance Manual, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten or Fluorescent come in handy in difficult lighting situations. Interesting results can be obtained with manual exposure compensation in 1/3 increments over +/-2.0 EV. Average, evaluative and spot-metering options cover an extremely wide range of lighting and subject situations. And there are more modes for creative experimentation: Continuous shooting with up to five frames, for example, may be used to create fascinating motion studies. Self-timer delays of 2 s and 10 s leave ample room for shots that are "different". And genuine moving images can be recorded with 20 frames per second and 320 x 240 pixels, even with sound thanks to a built-in loudspeaker and microphone. Stills and video clips are stored either in the 16MB internal memory of the camera or on an SD or MultiMedia card. They can be transferred either to a PC or a TV set via the USB-2.0 interface or the video output (NTSC/PAL).
