Photokina 2010 Reviews - The Nikon Coolpix P-series stands for Great Performance; it is an advanced camera aimed at the serious photographer who demands a lot from his camera. The new Nikon Coolpix P7000 is meant to live up to that and at first glance the camera specifications look very promising. The Nikon P7000 is not just a logical successor to the P6000. Nikon has taken a step back in terms of the amount of Megapixels, has changed the design, and has exchanged the short zoom range for a mega zoom lens. Nikon seems to be getting back to basics with the P7000. Gadgety functions such as GPS and Ethernet-interface have been eliminated, and the emphasis is obviously on the image quality.
