Nikon is pleased to announce the introduction of the Nikon Coolpix L6. A digital camera offering powerful imaging performance, easy operation and outstanding battery life, the Nikon L6 lets users shoot with greater confidence for better-looking results. Created with a slim, lightweight design, the Nikon Coolpix L6 offers the imaging performance of 6.0 effective Megapixels. It also has an optical 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens with a focal range of 38-116mm (35mm equivalent), making it a cinch to capture everything from pleasing portraits to expansive landscapes with true-to-life color and fine detail. The Nikon L6 is scheduled for release in September 2006 in Europe. The recommended retail price in the Netherlands is €249.

Nikon Corporation announce the introduction of the D2xs professional digital SLR camera, maintaining the momentum set by the award-winning Nikon D2x. The D2xs builds on that success with a stunning array of refinements that improve overall camera performance and enhance the user experience. Following in the footsteps of the D2x, the D2xs shares many performance and design innovations with its sibling. It boasts the same Nikon DX-format image sensor as the D2x, for example, complimented with a range of revised features that make operation of the D2xs significantly more user-friendly. These include: refined viewfinder performance, a new LCD with a 170-degree wide viewing angle; significantly increased battery life.

Nikon Coolpix 5100

There is a Nikon Coolpix digital compact camera on the market, but at this moment only for the Japanese and Canadian market. Then new Coolpix 5100 is a lightweight digital camera with slim dimensions, 5.1-megapixel performance and surprisingly simple operation. Building on the success and capabilities of the previously released Coolpix 4100, it features the same stylish grip for handling comfort and an enhanced Graphic User Interface (GUI), which displays easy-to-see menus on a bright, adjustable1.6-inch TFT LCD monitor. All controls are placed on the back of the camera for convenient access. Common with several current-release cameras in the Nikon's range, the Coolpix 5100 has the advantage of 14.5MB of internal memory.
