Panasonic is pleased to introduce the new Lumix 6-megapixel, 3.6x optical zoom Panasonic DMC-FX01, as the next-generation model of the world-renowned stylish and compact Mega O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer)-equipped FX series. The Panasonic FX series boasts high picture quality, a large LCD and a slim and stylish design; all desirable features for a compact digital camera. The Panasonic DMC-FX01 features a remarkable upgrade from previous Lumix FX models, with the newly incorporated 28mm wide angle (On a 35mm film camera, at wide-angle). 3.6x optical zoom Leica DC lens, while still maintaining the same compact body size. The wide angle shooting capability offers a new array of photographic opportunities.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1

Panasonic is pleased to introduce the new Lumix 5-megapixel DMC-TZ1, the world’s smallest 10x optical zoom digital camera. The powerful 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens is incorporated into a compact, easy-to-carry body, made possible by the world’s first example of the integration of a retractable lens system with folded optics technology. Like other models in the Lumix digital camera series, the Panasonic TZ1, of course, features Mega O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which has now become a standard feature for all digital cameras in the market. Hand-shake has always been a critical issue in certain photographic situations such as long zoom shots, low-light indoor, night time and macro shooting.

Panasonic D-Snap SV-AS30 camcorder

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., best known for its Panasonic brand products, today introduced two new D-snap SD video cameras. The models SV-AS30 and SV-AS3 can snap still and moving images, play back video and music files, record voice notes and share contents with a wide variety of SD-enabled products, including digital TVs, DVD recorders and printers. The SV-AS30 will be available to the public on October 30 and the SV-AS3 on November 27. The two models function as effective 3.2 megapixel CCD digital cameras, MPEG4 video recorders, AAC/WMA/MP3 music players and voice recorders recording up to 66 hours on a 1 GB SD Memory Card. The SV-AS30, super-thin model, incorporates all these features in a compact 53.2 x 103.2 x 9.9 mm (14.0 mm at the lens) casing, the slimmest in the world.
