Pentax SLR test drive

Pentax Imaging has launched a test drive A Pentax program to introduce consumers to the manufacturer's new K Series digital SLR camera line. From now until December 31, 2006, any customer who visits a participating dealer and test drives a Pentax K Series camera becomes eligible to win the Grand Prize 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. A Pentax test drive consists of visiting a participating retailer and asking for a hands-on demonstration of any Pentax K Series camera or viewing a product video online at the Pentax website. "The DSLR marketplace is extremely competitive, and we want the new Pentax DLSR line to be given the recognition it deserves," said Ned Bunnell, marketing director, Pentax Imaging Company.

Pentax K100D review at e-Fotografija

DIWA member Matjaz Intihar from e-Fotografija has reviewed the Pentax K100D digital SLR camera. The Pentax 100D packs a large, high-performance 23.5mm x 15.7mm CCD as its image sensor and incorporates a large 2.5 inch color LCD monitor on its back panel. The Pentax K100D’s sophisticated SAFOX VIII auto focus system features 11 sensor points (with nine cross-type sensors in the middle) to automatically focus on the subject with utmost precision, even when it is positioned off center. The Pentax K100D features an auto sensitivity control function, which automatically sets the optimum standard output sensitivity, up to 3200, which is the highest automatic setting in its class.

Pentax Optio L20

Pentax Russia launched a new digital camera; the Pentax Optio L20. The Pentax Optio L20 is slimly designed for great portability. The Pentax L20 will not be available worldwide, this depends on the local Pentax substitutes whether they would like to add the Pentax Optio L20 to their assortment of Pentax digital compact cameras or not. The Pentax L20 features 7.0 effective Megapixel and includes extra features to make it easier to use, including a Blur Reduction mode, which reduces camera shake and subject blurring, and Face Recognition AF & AE, a function that simplifies portrait-taking by automatically detecting the position of the subject’s face and adjusting the focus and exposure based on the detected position.

Pentax Optio A20

Pentax launches the new Pentax Optio A20, a compact digital camera featuring 10.0 effective Megapixels and a fine, high-quality image. The Pentax A20 digital compact camera is the latest model in our high-grade Optio A series. In addition to offering 10.0 effective Megapixels, this stylish, compact and lightweight model has many extra features, including three types of anti-shake function such as SR (Shake Reduction), which reduces camera shake.
