Photokina 2010 news - Ricoh releases the new Ricoh G700 digital camera with water and dust resistance for safe and reliable use even in difficult environments such as those encountered in on-site work situations. Successor model to the popular Ricoh G600, the new Ricoh G700 shock resistant camera has achieved shock resistance capable of withstanding a 2.0 m drop (1.5 m when wide conversion lens is attached) in Ricoh drop testing carried out based on US Department of Defense standards, and it is also capable of underwater shooting for up to two hours at depths up to 5.0 m. In addition, the Ricoh G700 features newly added chemical resistance to ethanol and hypochlorous acid as well as strengthened security functions such as password-protection.
Photokina 2010 report : Ricoh announces the release of the new CX4 compact digital camera. This new design offers high-power (10.7×), wide-angle 28-300 mm optical zoom and improved image-sensor-shift image stabilization in a workmanlike yet stylish package. The new Ricoh CX4’s evolved image-sensor-shift image stabilization reduces blur on average by the equivalent of about 3.7 EV-3.7 shutter-speed stops-for improved performance under dim indoor lighting and at high zoom ratios. The Ricoh CX4 camera also offers a new "subject-tracking AF" autofocus system that automatically tracks your subject, ensuring that photographs are in focus and correctly exposed whenever you choose to release the shutter.
Recently Ricoh Japan introduced a stylish compact camera; the Ricoh R10. This camera was one of the showpieces at the Ricoh booth during the Photokina show. The Ricoh R10 features a 10 Megapixel CCD and a 7.1x wide angle zoom lens. The new Rioch camera is beautifully finished and has a solid feel to it. The test sample we received has a unique color setting in a brown, dark grey and metallic look. In the very near future a sample will be welcomed in our DIWA lab too and will be tested rigorously according to DIWA's standardized test procedure. DIWA Lab test results will be combined with the test in practice and subsequently a full Ricoh R10 review will be published.
Ricoh announced the development and release of the Ricoh R10. In addition to its 7.1x optical wide-angle zoom lens (28-200 mm in 35 mm film equivalent focal length), the new Ricoh R10 digital camera features a 460,000-dot HVGA monitor, an electronic level, and other new capabilities to further enhance its utility as a tool for easy photography with advance photographic functions. The new Ricoh R10 is the successor model to the very popular Ricoh R8 ( launched March 7, 2008), which featured a 7.1x optical wide-angle zoom lens, a high-resolution 10 megapixel CCD, Smooth Imaging Engine III, and a body combining operability and portability. We probably will see the Ricoh R10 at the Photokina Show.

Combining the Caplio R5’s Ricoh-original CCD-shift vibration correction method and brand new image processing engine greatly expands the range of shooting in low light areas producing high quality images at even higher ISO settings with low noise.
