Samsung NX review

Posted by: Ilse Jurrien Sunday 4th, July 2010

Samsung NX10 review : Just like the Micro Four Thirds, Samsung has left the mirror out of the design, so that you have to work with the image that comes directly in front of the sensor. There are some advantages to such a construction. First of all, you can make it a lot more compact, because you do not have to make room for a mirror and prism housing. Additionally, you always see precisely what will be shown in the photo, as you actually see what the sensor captures. Moreover, you can show extra information, like a histogram. Ideal for good metering. Other than that, not much else is new. We already know the Micro Four Thirds for some time, and Live View is generally known in DSLRs, and of course in compact cameras.

Samsung cameras at Photokina

Posted by: Dennis Hissink Tuesday 30th, September 2008

The 'sleeping giant' is Samsung's name in the photo industry. And sleeping doesn't seem too far off we discovered, after visiting the Samsung booth. As for floor space, Samsung had sufficient room to show many of its new products, and it is rather striking that Samsung has nothing, or almost nothing, to declare as for cameras. All of the products but one prototype, the Samsung HZ1, were introduced at the CES and PMA (January 2008). Samsung seems to omit profiling the company as an innovative and serious camera manufacturer at the world's largest and most important imaging event, apart from a few camera models introduced in July.

Samsung Armani camera phone review

Posted by: Dennis Hissink Thursday 15th, May 2008

Not only is the Giorgio Armani mobile phone a stylish device, it is also delivered in style. The black box has a silky feel, like the cover of the user’s guide. A leather pouch that folds out comes with the cell phone to protect it. When you shut the cover, it shuts down the cell phone. You can also choose to use the included pouch made from soft material. Naturally a battery charger, USB cable, earphone and software CDs are included in the box. An original addition is the soft cleansing cloth, marked with the Armani logo, which serves to wipe the Samsung Armani clean.
