Sanyo announces the Xacti HD800, a new sleek, slim high definition dual camera that can take both stills and videos. The Sanyo camera sports a compact and light-weight body, and easily saves data onto SD/SDHC memory cards for convenience. The Sanyo HD800 will take stills and videos used on a personal computer or for the Web, houses a new three-dimensional digital noise reduction (3DDNR) filter, and adds the ‘Face Chaser’ for both stills and videos with an active scanner visible on the monitor. This new, stylish digital movie camera, the Sanyo HD800, will be sold in Japan starting from August 22, 2008.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG6

At the Sanyo booth we were surprised to see the new Sanyo Xacti model that has just been release in Japan. We took some time to sort things out and manage to get an overview of the features of the new Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG6 digital compact camera. The Sanyo Xacti CA6 incorporates a richly detailed 6.37 Megapixel CCD and Sanyo's proprietary image-adaptive data processing technology. This ensures low noise in dark areas, as well as more beautiful realization of skin colors. A high-powered 5x optical zoom lens lets you get up close and personal with your subject, even more so if you pair it with the 12x digital zoom. In Europe the new Sanyo CG6 digital camera will be available next year.

Sanyo Xacti recording 8 hours of video

Pretec, the world record keeper of highest capacity flash memory cards of CF card (16GB), USB Flash Drive (16GB), and SD card (8GB), is demonstrating the world’s highest capacity 8GB SD card working with Sanyo Xacti HD1a, the world’s smallest and lightest high-definition digital media camera capable of recording eight (8) hours of DVD-like full-motion, 30 fps video at Standard Definition mode (640X480 pixels), or more than 2.5 hours of digital video at high-definition mode (1280X720 pixels), at Photokina Pretec Booth. Sanyo Xacti HD1a combines the best of digital movies (HD quality) and digital cameras (5.1 mega-pixels CCD with 10X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom) in one.

Sanyo SCP-8400

Today Sanyo announced planned availability of the next generation in Sanyo's popular 8000 Series phones, the SCP-8400 by Sanyo Long considered Sanyo's "go-to" camera phone, the latest edition is packed with advanced features for entertainment and productivity including Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, high-resolution QVGA internal screen, music player, removable memory card, and the ability to operate on the high-speed Sprint Power Vision(SM) Network. The SCP-8400 by Sanyo is available in three bold color selections, Electric Blue, Powder White and Midnight Black. The SCP-8400 by Sanyo will be available on October 1 through Sprint retail stores, for $279.99 suggested retail price.

Qwest wireless camera phone

Qwest Communications International Inc. announced that Qwest Wireless is offering its thinnest-ever wireless phone, offering essential and innovative features and functionality in one slim handset. Beyond its slim and lightweight silhouette, measuring less than six-tenths of an inch thick and weighing just 3.4 ounces, the Katana is capable of downloading premium applications, including a global positioning application with full-color maps and turn-by-turn directions. In addition, the Katana includes a camera with digital zoom, self-timer and storage for up to 33 high-resolution photos; a large 2.2 inch color internal display; and supports Bluetooth Wireless Technology.
