Leica Camera AG, Solms is exhibiting the new Leica Tri-Elmar-M 1:4/16-18-21 mm ASPH. at photokina in Cologne. The Leica Tri-Elmar-M 1:4/16-18-21 mm ASPH is the first Leica super-wide-angle lens with a 16 millimetre focal length for the Leica ranging viewfinder system. In conjunction with the two fixed focal lengths of 18 and 21 mm, it combines a total of three extremely wide-angle perspectives and is thus very well suited for highly demanding work such as architectural photography or reportage. The use of two aspherical lenses permits a notably compact design of the lens and ensures high imaging capability over the entire focal length and focussing range.

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of the new Sigma APO 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC HSM lens. We have had the opportunity to meet Michihiro Yamaki, President of Sigma Corporation. During our meeting we were shown the latest lenses Sigma has announced just before the Photokina started. The new 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC for Four Thirds mount is exclusively designed for use with digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR) cameras and has a 1: 6.9 zoom ratio. A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) and two aspherical glass elements produce a top quality optical performance throughout the entire zoom range. The new Super Multi Layer lens coating, which is optimized for digital SLR cameras, gives superb colour rendition whilst cutting down flare and ghost.
