Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus

"When we released DVD MovieFactory 5 in March, it earned high praise for its ease-of-use and intuitive DVD authoring," said Eldon C. M. Liu, president of Ulead. "The Plus version offers additional creative content and templates. Nikon Capture NX software

Nikon USA has begun shipping the new Capture NX software to Nikon authorized retailers across the nation. Capture NX is designed specifically for photographers, providing a unique and easy-to-understand interface with tools that photographers need, but without the level of complexity and clutter of other image-editing applications, says the company. The software can be used with JPEG- and TIFF-format images from any source. Its newly patented U Point technology offers photographers a simplified way to edit their pictures by enabling them to enhance specific areas of a picture selectively, without the use of masks, selections, or blayers.

Kingston Ontrack data recovery software

Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it is upgrading its "Ultimate" line of CompactFlash memory cards by preloading the cards with Ontrack's EasyRecovery Professional software version 6.1. Kingston's Ultimate line of Compact Flash cards is targeted for professional and advanced amateur photographers. The Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional software provides data recovery capabilities for lost digital photos. In addition, Kingston will increase the sustained write speed on its 2/4-GB CompactFlash Ultimate cards from 100x to 133x and will add a new 8-GB capacity card with a write speed of 133x to the line.
