DxO Optics Pro V4 Beta

DxO Labs announces today availability of a free, Windows PC public beta release of DxO Optics Pro v4 for all digital photographers to download from the website of DxO. DxO Optics Pro software improves the image quality of Digital Single-Lens Reflex cameras and advanced digicams. DxO Optics Pro is the award-winning digital image enhancement tool incorporating revolutionary optics, noise and exposure corrections in an easy-to-use, feature rich application for Mac and PC users. "DxO Optics Pro v4 brings a wealth of true innovations including faster throughput and significantly improved control over color and optical performance," said Luc Marin, vice president of the Photography Business Unit at DxO Labs.

Adobe Lightroom photo editing software

Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced the public beta of Adobe Lightroom software for the Windows platform, a digital imaging workflow solution for professional photographers. Now available for both the Windows and Macintosh platforms, Adobe Lightroom beta is the efficient new way for professional photographers to import, select, develop and showcase large volumes of digital images. Windows-based photographers now have the opportunity to assist with the development of Lightroom by testing this new beta download and submitting feedback to the Adobe Labs forums at the Adobe website. A significant number of professional photographers operate on the Windows platform.

DXO Analyser 2.0

DxO Labs, a software company focused on research in image processing to enhance image quality, announces DxO Analyzer 2.0, a major upgrade of its breakthrough camera quality measurement tool. DxO Analyzer 2.0 will be previewed during the Photokina trade show and will be available mid November 2004. In addition to providing thorough analysis of four critical performance characteristics for any digital camera (e.g. Distortion, Chromatic Aberration, Blur, and Vignetting), DxO Analyzer 2.0 adds several major enhancements. A Set of Revolutionary Noise Measures Image noise can be characterized in several ways with descriptive terms such as "intensity", "graininess", or "color differences", but up until now these dimensions have been difficult to quantify.
