Sony A100 review at e-Fotografija

DIWA member Matjaz Intihar from e-Fotografija has reviewed the Sony DSLR-A100 digital SLR camera. The Sony Alpha 100 features a 10.2-megapixel APS CCD image sensor and a new Dynamic Range Optimizer image analysis technology to provide exceptional picture quality and natural color reproduction, along with a new Bionz image processing engine. The Sony DSLR-A100 will offer high-speed burst shooting at up to three frames per second continuously, at 10.2 Megapixels and the finest JPEG compression. The Sony A100 camera also features eye-start auto focus, which starts focusing your picture before you even press the shutter and supports JPEG and RAW files.

Sony Mylo personal communicator

Sony is launching its first WiFi broadband communication and entertainment device to capitalize on the growth of wireless Internet access. The new mylopersonal communicator is capable of operating in any open 802.11b wireless network, often found on college campuses, in public spaces and within private homes around the country. This product is designed for people who use instant messaging as a primary form of communication and networking for their social life. The name mylo stands for "my life online" and the communicator lets you use instant messaging, browse the Internet, listen to music, send emails and view photos concurrently. It is small enough for a pocket or purse.

Sony Alpha Review

Sony has been actively involved in digital photography for years and can be regarded as a digital pioneer. Until recently however, there was no digital SLR camera in their wide range of cameras. When Konica Minolta, a brand that had built up an impressive reputation in photography was in difficulties, Sony was quick to contact them. This finally resulted in a takeover of Konica Minolta's camera division which suddenly gave Sony loads of in house information on lens and DSLR. If the stories are to be believed, a lot of innovative technology that has not yet been launched on the market also fell into Sony's lap. It is not then surprising that Sony's first mirror reflex camera, the DSLR Alpha 100 has a lot in common with Konica Minolta's DiMAGE 5D. However, it is more than just a blatant copy.

Sony is jumping into the digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) camera market with today’s introduction of the a (alpha) DSLR-A100 system. The system combines advanced SLR features with other Sony digital imaging innovations.
