Nikon is pleased to announce the introduction of the Nikon Coolpix S7c. A slim, sophisticated digital compact camera, it packs good looks and great performance into compact dimensions, while offering the advantage of vibration reduction and innovations for in-camera image improvement. Combining 7.1 effective Megapixels of imaging performance with a 35-105mm (35mm equivalent) Zoom-Nikkor ED lens, the Nikon S7c camera can capture everything from wide-open landscapes to tight portraits with outstanding clarity and true-to-life color. And because it features a large, bright 3.0-inch LCD monitor with an unusually wide 170-degree viewing angle, it realizes smoother composition and high-quality playback anywhere.

What's more, the Nikon S7c offers e-VR and other Vibration Reduction capabilities that can compensate for camera shake and unsteady subjects to realize sharper, clearer results. Anti-shake mode can automatically activate e-VR and BSS that selects the sharpest image from up to ten sequential shots, while also setting the optimal ISO for steady results. High-Sensitivity mode also makes the most of the camera's exceptionally high light sensitivity by choosing the optimal setting up to ISO 1600 for the shooting of fast-moving subjects or clearer results in lower light.

Nikon Coolpix S7c compact camera - Wireless network
The Nikon Coolpix S7c digital camera also features built-in IEEE 802.11b/g LAN support. With a Wi-Fi antenna set unobtrusively into its stylish body, it supports wireless image transfer that sends pictures to a computer on command, wireless shooting that sends each shot to a computer as soon as it's taken and wireless printing to PictBridge-compatible printers (Wireless printing requires optional Wireless Printer Adapter PD-10) The Nikon Coolpix S7c is also compatible with Nikon's all-new Coolpix Connect service that lets users take pictures, then send them to friends across the world in mere seconds. What's more, it's absolutely free of charge! Just take the shots, select recipients from the in-camera address list and send them straight from the camera's built-in Wi-Fi antenna to a local wireless network (Coolpix Connect is compatible with domestic Wi-Fi access points throughout the world and with T-Mobile Hotspots in the U.S.A. T-Mobile Hotspots can be used free of charge for the first year. This service is not available in Europe).

Nikon Coolpix S7c camera - Availability and Price
Nikon adds to the photographic versatility of the Nikon Coolpix S7c by supplying the COOL-STATION MV-15. A handy cradle allowing the camera to be simply slipped in, it allows batteries to be recharged without them having to be removed from the camera. It also features a USB port and can easily be hooked up to a TV. Also included is a Dock Insert PV-11, which adds immediate direct print performance with ImageLink-compatible printers. And, like all Coolpix cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S7c comes complete with Nikon's unique PictureProject software that makes it surprisingly easy to edit, organize and share images and is compatible with a range of available plug-ins for further functionality. Nikon Coolpix camera - Vibration Reduction
The Nikon Coolpix S7c features electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) capability that allows users to overcome the effects of camera shake to produce satisfyingly sharp images. Taking data from a built-in angular velocity sensor, the system applies in-camera image processing to turn blurred images into beautifully sharp results. The Nikon S7c also offers new Anti-Shake and High-Sensitivity modes for clearer, more stable images in diverse situations.

Coolpix digital camera - LAN en Server
With a built-in Wi-Fi antenna that complements the overall attraction of the wave-surface design, the Nikon Coolpix S7c offers the freedom and flexibility of Wireless LAN support (IEEE 802.11b/g). With Wireless transfer, it enables photographers to send pictures from memory to a computer on demand. With Wireless shooting, it lets users transfer each image to the computer as soon as it's shot. Wireless printing sends images straight through the air for printing on a PictBridge-compatible printer. And with Nikon's exciting new Coolpix Connect service, users can wirelessly upload pictures to the Nikon Coolpix Connect server. Completely free to use, the service enables a total of up to 50MB of images to be sent to the server and stored there for up to two weeks. It also sends an email to each specified recipient with a link to the page, allowing users to invite friends and family members to view the images right away, download them to their own computer or enjoy them as a slideshow.

Nikon Pictmotion
Much more than a slideshow, Pictmotion makes it easy to share the joy of photography with others. Offering entertainment in-camera, it allows users to choose up to 30 images or movies, select one of five soundtracks already in the camera or load new ones to match the mood (Via PictureProject for Windows only; each file up to 3 minutes long), then select a visual style. The Nikon Coolpix S7c then produces a show automatically in-camera, with pace and transitions set in harmony with the music and style. There's also a new Stop-motion movie function that lets users create professional-looking animated movies. Users simply select objects or models they wish to animate, shoot them, move them, then shoot again. The Nikon S7c then automatically creates an impressive animated film in-camera.

Nikon Coolpix S7c - Image effect
The One-touch portrait button makes it easier than ever to take great-looking photographs by offering direct access to three Nikon image innovations, Face-priority AF that automatically finds and focuses on people's faces in the frame, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix that detects and compensates for the unwanted red-eye effect sometimes encountered with flash, and Nikon's powerful D-Lighting that can improve underexposed images or shots taken with too much backlight by creating a copy of the unsatisfactory shot with light and detail automatically added wherever necessary and well-exposed areas left exactly as they are.
