The Samsung Wave is presented in a hard packaging with a picture of the phone itself on it. As soon as you open the packaging, you see the Samsung Wave S5800. The phone looks neat at first glance. The front is sleek with a set of three keys on the bottom, of which two (to dial and to hang up) have been neatly integrated into the design. The back is completely sleek with a blue/grey tint. Besides the Samsung Wave, the packaging also includes a charger, a data cable, a head set, an instructions manual and a software CD. It is a good first impression of a Smartphone that is comfortable to handle and has a convenient format.

Review Samsung Wave
Of course the Samsung Wave Smartphone also has an integrated digital camera. This Samsung 5.0 megapixel digital camera is even equipped with a LED-flash, so that you can always capture your favorite moments anywhere you are. The lens is tightly integrated on the back, although that leaves it unprotected. The camera application can be started up with the camera quick key on the side, or via the menu itself. It takes about 2 seconds to start up the application. Then four icons appear to the left and right of the screen. This is handy to quickly turn on the flash, for example, but that amount of icons is also a bit busy. The nice, clear screen ensures a good display.

Samsung Wave review
Samsung makes a daring move with the Samsung Bada operating system, considering the already established operating systems. It could be a smart move that they have their own system next to the other famous systems. With a good Internet browser, the Internet can easily be used on the go, although we do miss Flash support. Diverse applications are included for social networks. In terms of multimedia, the Samsung Wave, especially with the crystal clear Super AMOLED screen, is the right choice. The digital camera is good and takes nice photos, although they are displayed with so much color on the AMOLED screen that they disappoint when viewing them on a computer afterwards.
