For the third consecutive year, Kodak EasyShare digital cameras in the $200-$399 price range have ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Digital Camera Satisfaction Study. Since the J.D. Power and Associates Digital Camera Study was introduced in 2004, Kodak is the only brand to rank highest in a single category for three straight years. "We're very pleased with this ranking, since it's based on customer experience and further solidifies our reputation for quality and ease of use," said Phil Faraci, president, Consumer Digital Imaging Group, and a Kodak senior vice president. "Kodak invented the digital camera in 1975 and we have been a leading digital innovator ever since. Our innovation has always focused on providing products and services that create a great user experience, and this ranking confirms that we continue to deliver on that promise.". J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Digital Camera Satisfaction Study. Study based on 5,800 responses from consumers who purchased or received a digital camera between January and July of 2006.

Kodak OLED Technology agreement

Eastman Kodak Company, a pioneer in the area of organic light emitting diode technology (OLED), today announced a licensing agreement with Tohoku Device Co., Ltd. Tohoku Device plans to incorporate Kodak's organic display technology into white OLED modules for use as backlights in displays. Tohoku Device joins more than 15 companies that have licensed organic display technology from Kodak. "This is a great agreement for Kodak. The agreement between Kodak and Tohoku Device validates the superiority of Kodak display technology for a variety of applications," said Andrew Sculley, general manager, OLED Systems and vice president, Kodak Display Business. "We are delighted that Tohoku Device has chosen Kodak as a major provider of this innovative technology."
